BEREAVEMENT COUNSELLING ,AFTER TREATING ME LIKE A PEICE OF DIRT?????????? SERIOUSLY!

Unbelievably it would seem that in their arrogant eyes they think because they eventually repaid half the money I have been charged by the vets . I will now go away! and they can throw in bereavement counselling.

WRONG

1) Why should I be the one to pay the privilege of seeing my little pay for their mistake with her life?

2) I have still not had an apology for being spoken to like a piece of dirt after Lilly died in front of everyone.

3) Why should we Loose Lilly in a horrible way and then to add insult to it be the ones to pay the bill for her painful death while the VETS PROFFIT FROM HER DEATH DUE TO THEIR MISTAKE.

4) Why do they think it’s right and acceptable to first ignore me then to say they will repay the full cost of the vet bills caused by them if I take down the information on the web about Lilly’s death?

Companion Care your Chippenham vet sent home a young cat, that you failed to see was in desperate need of medical treatment despite her symptoms!!!!!!!!

Not only did Lilly pay the ultimate price for your mistake by DYING. But YOU expect us to live with the pain of this and pay the bill for it. And YOU will only reimburse it all if we take the information about Lilly of the web. Effectively pretending it did not happen. Is that really how a multibillion pound corporation should behave?

Both a  vet and a receptionist  (who should know better, as she supposedly used to work in the legal profession) representing your Company spoke to me a grieving owner  like a piece of dirt Less than 48 hours after the loss of our beloved COMPANION. But you showed NO COMPASSION and you think I will just go away.

Well I will not. You dismissed Lilly’s fatal condition as nothing. You dismissed my questions as nothing. You treated me like dirt, and you dismissed my complaint as nothing.

A belated  half-hearted  reimbursement and no apology for being spoken to the way I was is not good enough.

When we sent our review of this vet practice to the good vet guide it was turned down and unpublished on numerous occasions and then only published after editing and checking by them. So we would expect any reply to need to be factual to however that is not the case below is the review and the response from the vets. They are so up them selves they can not even give a factual response .This was NOT Lillys first visit to them. As claimed. they did not have numerous communication with me as claimed. That was head office following my complaint about them.As for dismissing their involvement by saying Lilly died 36 hours after being seen by them. That was 36 hours of SUFFERING AND SLOWLY DYING while on prescribed drugs dished out by them that was concealing her true condition followed by Being seen and treated by an emergency vet

unpleasant experience

I found this vet practice to be an unpleasant experience. I used this practice on a Saturday afternoon with an extremely poorly cat who had vomited blood.and who's chest was sounding rattly when picked up.Her symptoms were fully explained to the vet on duty and the reception staff. As were my very real concerns for her welfare.I was given a price guide and consent form to sign. They later called me and informed me the bill was currently higher then first quoted. They x-rayed her and told me they had monitored her over a period of time and found that in their opinion she was fit and well and had no problems "Probably swallowed something like an insect". She was sent home with a large bill a, sachet of gastro intestinal food and pain killers. She died the following evening with the emergency vets.
I can not say I would ever recommend this practice or the staff as my own experience has not only left a young cat dead. But also left us with many unanswered questions. this review is an honest and fair account of my personal experience and I do have the paperwork to prove such

Owner's reply

Further to our letter to you of 25/06/14, we are still very sorry that your only visit to this practice was an unpleasant experience and about the death of your cat. We have gone through the clinical veterinary perspective with you, met with you and have communicated numerous times as a company also, as you know. We are sorry you remain dissatisfied. Sadly, she passed away over 36 hours after a vet had seen her at our practice so we could only assess her condition whilst here. The RCVS will always take claims of negligence or misconduct with the utmost seriousness and professionalism so please do not hesitate to contact them with your concerns. We acknowledge your anger and grief, have taken all your comments on board and as a caring vet practice we are always very saddened by the death of a pet. Please accept our sympathy for your loss.
