the obvious flaw in the vets reply

On the following page is the email I wrote to customer support at companion care in response to the letter from the treating vet.

The letter/email was sent because having seen the treating vets letter to me you will have noted that they tried to say I called them reporting Lilly had nothing more then a hairball or something "stuck" in the back of her throat and did not mention vomitting and even went on to claim an appointment was made  for my convenience as I apperently  said I could not get to them much earlier !
And they go on to say they then felt having seen the diary .If  treatment was needed she should come in sooner so called me and advised me to bring her in sooner!

I am sure those who read it  will see the obvious flaw in this.

If I called as claimed and said Lilly had a hairball or something ""stuck ""in her throat then when I spoke with the receptionist would she not have told me to get lilly to them imediatley or to the  nearest vet. as she would choke to death before I got to them..
If  I said ,As they claim, something was ""stuck ""in her throat would she not be suffocating as we spoke?

If something was stuck in her throat would they not have advised me on the phone to try and remove what ever was"stuck"as she would certainly choke to death otherwise.

They claim that I did not tell them Lilly was vomitting blood. Yet that is exactly why they called back and  and said I could  bring her straight up.

They also go on to claim no one new Lilly vomitted blood as I did not mention it.! Yet later on in the letter they say there was blood on her mouth and paws!
Where the heck did they think that came from? If what they claim is true and I did not mention her vomitting blood. Why did the vet /nurse /assistant ,or any one else not question why she had blood down her. What kind of people are they that they do not ask about such when an animal is presented to them in such a condition?

They claim I said I coulld not get to them sooner?
According to them I have just called to say my cat has something "stuck"in her throat but I apparently book an appointment for late afternnon at my conveinience and the receptionist does not question such!.
She is more then happy for me to leave my supposed choking cat to suffocate on what ever is in its throat while I go of doing what ever it is that is more important then getting her seen to and the receptionist does not question such.

If there account is true, Lilly apparently has something "stuck " in her throat and  apparently I am not concerned about her and by all accounts according to the letter to busy to get to them other then according to them at a time convinient to me .

"Why the hell if there account is true would I  have even called them. Surley if there account is true Lilly is chocking to death as something is stuck in her throat . I aparently can not be botherd to get to them sooner  and am not fussed about her  surley if  any of their account was true I would not even botherd to have called them what would be the point.?

They say their appointment trail shows the above to be true.
What it actually shows is :
I called them at 12.50 I told them Lilly had been seen earlier in the day hacking and gagging the way cats do when they have fur ball or eat to much grass I was worried about hwer as Lilly had just vomitted blood and her breathing was different.
The receptionist gives me the earliest appointment they have which is for 3 .45 as they are fully booked. I accept as it will take 45 min to an hour to get there any way so if I leave now we will not have a long wait.
They call me back just as we are leaving to say they have spoken to the nurse and vet and if Lilly has vomitted blood I should get her in as soon as possible.
Great on way.

Quite disturbing to see how how they have tried to twist the truth but in doing so their account and lies are totally unbelivable by any standard.

They even tried to make it sound as if I refused care for Lilly.
The truth is they wanted to do  at further cost more x rays of Lillys bowels  This was not an area I wanted looked at as it was not an area causing problems. The problem was her breathing and vomitting blood. That is why the extra xrays were refused as they had already gone way over the initial estimate and already told me her breathing and airways were normal and that there was no sign of abnormality or cause for concern she was fine she was likely to have brought the blood up from reaching. We wanted any treatment and charges for treatment concentrated on the correct areas. As for the bloods again even the nurse who called said she did not belive such was nessasary but something they could do.
As you will see from the night vet report Lillys bloods were normal anyway.

On the following page is the email sent to comapnion care customer services following receipt of the letter form the vet where they have absouloutley no shame and try to blame me and calously say I was in no hurry to get her medical care or bothered about her in an attempt to cover up their own failure to treat Lilly.:

Having seen their false claims regarding Lillys Symptoms and my apparent attitude to her condition You will also now understand the reason for mentioning at the very begining of this site about our grey cat Zanshin. The reason for telling you of his problems eating and always vomitting and gagging and getting things caught in his mouth. We have helped and dealt with his doing this for 13 years. We know all to well what to do and how to look after a cat who chokes or gags and we know how seriousit it is if a cat has some thing stuck in its throat. We also know the diffferance between vomitting Blood and sounding raspy to having a fur ball or something stuck in the throat.
